July 1, 2008 June Sale Our recent sale was a success in spite of a brutal 106 degree heat wave! A great crowd of magnificent folks braved the hot weather to come on out to the Gardens and purchase some great plants to add to their garden, and were pleasantly surprised by "The Lemonator" (aka Debbie Matteson). Debbie's lemon-aid wagon and her famous decadent Zucchini bread were a big hit!
"The Lemonator" went around all day and kept all the customers well hydrated with regular and raspberry lemon aide.
So we will continue this new tradition of Debbie's Lemon Aid and Zucchini bread, at our sales...........Oh & the pottery was a big hit too! Some folks found refuge from the heat in the cool shade of our huge Eucalyptus trees or in the Redwood Forest, hanging out, relaxing, chatting for hours with family or friends, some went through our Mediterranean garden sprinklers while they were on, and were watered along with the thirsty plants, hey it works for people and plants!
